brunch and playsuit

This is my second time visiting this little elegant patisserie, LuxBite at Toorak Road. Last time I went there for their patisserie and macaroons as they are among the top 20 macaroons in Australia. This time round, I went to try on their spring brunch menu.

Love the colour of the orchids, so bright, so bold, yet so elegantly captured inside the tall glass vase. Imagine if its a short vase and the flowers just hanging out of the vase, it would totally spoil the theme of the cafe. I'm sure the owners have something for interior design based on such details presented. Plus, there are some interior designs' magazine among the pile of food review magazines. They have taste.

And this is the branch-out light hanging from their ceiling. They have a rather tall ceiling, which makes the small space extra comfortable.

Ann got this gigantic macaroon, can't remember the exact name, but its very very chocolaty, not normal chocolate, but ferrero rocher.

Brunch menu items we tried are pork roll and pandan chicken burger.

pork roll
Elaine's pork roll is somehow so-so, not as great as I've expected. No kick in it. But I love the pandan chicken burger! Reminds me of Malaysia. In fact, I remember I've read somewhere that the owners are Malaysian. I guess that's how you bring your origin to present?

Even though it's spring already, the weather is rather uncertain. It could be very windy and cold on a day, but very hot the next day. But on this day it was less windy with the sun shining bright, so I've decided to put on my very first playsuit! Love the detailed flower pattern on the waistline! Matching it with geometric necklace to counter off the rather cute design. Loving it haha =D

crop top love

Really wanna try on crop top for a while now. But the weather is still too cold for crop top, plus I couldn't find a really nice one with a reasonable price. Spotted one today but it's priced at $89 sigh. Thus, decided to put up a whole set in picture instead. Hopefully the time will come that I see one that catch my eyes and at the same time not so expensive.

Would really like to pair it up with a maxi skirt just like the picture below, to create an edgy yet girlish feel. A medium size studded ivory bag and flops for the casual day out, for a coffee or maybe some shopping haha.

French Connection 2012 Spring Runway Show

Last week was Fashion Week in Melbourne, and I've found out that French Connection aka FCUK is providing free runway, definitely not to be missed! It was held indoor on the 7th of September. The venue is very simple but nothing to complain since it's free lol. There are rows of seats reserved for the VIPs/ media. Looking at them, some that you could easily tell from their outfit that they must be some fashion editor. They just leave me in aw. Seriously, I wish I could be like them! But reflecting back to real life, the probability is just near to zero. Not sure is it I don't have confidence to make it happen or I just give it in to life.

Fashion comes from two parts of the world for me, one part is from Western Countries while the other part is from Asian countries, esp Japan and Korea. Realised that the latest trends from Asian fashion are related to studs, triangular shapes and collar necklace while Western trends for this Spring is of pastel colours. Studs and collar necklaces actually started from Japan since Winter but the trend is coming in Australia during late winter and now is selling all over the shops. FCUK seemed to integrate various collar necklaces to accessorize with their pastel colour outfits. Below are some of my favourites from the runway.

Here she is, presenting us with such a fresh look of her without make-up. It's all about basic, comfortable and being natural. If you have no idea who she is, she is the Victoria's Secret angel, supermodel, wife of Orlando Bloom and mother of Flynn Bloom. These photos are actually from the photo-shoots for 'Rag & Bone'. Spot how comfortable she is in these photos! Reason? All these photos are taken by her husband, Orlando Bloom. She definitely look extra sweet in these photos, could really feel the love surrounding them. I adore how she could look so gorgeous effortlessly. I guess it really shows if you're loving your life, she definitely does.

Balzane by Longchamp

Longchamp has now comes out with the new line called Balzane. This video debuting the new line is very entertaining and full of fun as the title "Keep on riding" implies. Not describing much about the video or else I'm gonna spoilt the fun of it. This video is featuring Audrey Marnay, Eleonore Bridge and my favourite fashion blogger - Rumi Neely! Rumi is looking absolutely stunning in the video! Plus the video is taken in Paris! Oh Eiffel Tower *melts* The bag itself is the rider kind bag, suitable for any occassion. A clean look with a mix of classic and modern design. Check out LongChamp website to find out more about the Balzane collection.

2011 Spring Collection Fashion Show at Rundle Mall by Esprit, Dotti, Globalize, Ripcurl, Adidas etc.
Spent half an hour of my 2 hour break from uni to attend the fashion show. Although I missed out the starting part, but it was quite nice. But the models (women) are way too skinny and their heads are super small! I dont likey! Not all the clothes are nice though, but all the boots and heels are super nice, but obviously they will cost a bomb. =.=

Went to annual kite festival at Semaphore, a suburb of Adelaide. There are just too many beaches in Adelaide. I used to play kites when I was young, in front of my old house, and also when I stay in Ferringhi Beach for holidays. Good old times.

This indegineous couple was having their marriage at Semaphore, and their family singing happily while following them to walk along the jetty. Totally can feel their happiness. People even share their hapiness by clapping along their singing.

fashion.accessories

always insisting to wear the style i like
it's rather a huge variety of styles i would wanna wear on
but there's still a few lil principles i always make sure myself to follow on
my outfit
its gonna suit me
its gonna hide my weakness
it can be feminine, but not too over
it can be boyish, but with a slight dash of feminine
its gonna be my style XD

and i'm quite into accessories this year
hair bands.earrings,bracelet.necklace
it's not that i've never been into these
but not this much i guess
but they do complete ur outfit/appearance
with just the little accessories
not too much
maybe one or two is enough
the best part is that, if u dont tie ur hair or whatsoever, just put on a hair band
u'll look great with it
or a pair of ear rings if u dont like hair band

bought a high waist belt that i can fit in today
and it was of a really reasonable price
finally
its really not easy to find one that u can fit in perfectly
i've been searching it for like ages i mean like 2 years ++
imma wear it tmr =D
and its brown, the colour i wanted

FASHION SHOW + DINNER

been out for the whole day today ler...
kinda tired but so energize after bath lol

din't expect this, but there's a fashion show held in Rundle Mall
all shops there sent models presenting their clothes
the stage is decorated with white and purple (weeee.... my colours)
and the models are super tall and super thin

night time, attended a dinner organised by Lord Mayor of Adelaide to welcome international students
it wasn't a dinner though
it actually invited performers and desserts are served with different drinks (ice water, coke and lemonade)
the lemonade is niceeee (noticed quite a variety of lemonade drinks selling in adelaide, so assume ppl here kinda like lemonade drinks?)
and koala bears are here as well as an owl which looks like a rock because it din't move at all!! except of blinking its eyes

well, the only thing is I MISS CHEESECAKE sooooooooo muchieeee laaaaa
